Frank Italiano formed the Da Capo Concert Band in 1984 for those former professional and "closet" musicians who were interested in getting together for the pleasure of playing again, or playing more than they currently were. September 2014 marked the 30th anniversary of the band.
This non-profit group consists of approximately 50 members who provide entertainment throughout the community. These dedicated individuals, possessing varied degrees of talent, range in age from 21 to 96, come from various walks of life, and live in communities throughout La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties in Wisconsin, in addition to Houston and Winona counties in Minnesota.
The Da Capo Concert Band is a "self-supporting" organization that draws financial support through member donations, outside donations, and occasional fundraisers. Each spring we perform a free concert in the community with free-will donations going to a selected charity or organization.
